Backless Blog Post by BohemianBythebay

Wandering in the Woods with Lauren (BohemianBytheBay)

Guys, we need to discuss this dress. Doesn’t Lauren (@bohemianbythebay) look fabulous? Swoon. Can we get it? Pretty, pretty, pretty please? Yes?!  Oh wait, we made that dress.

Our inspiration for the 1948 Backless Dress came from this 1948 Bazaar Magazine cover.

We decided that it was a shame that this dress didn’t exist in real life, so we went ahead and recreated it. It looks like we may also need to recreate the parasol as well. Doesn’t this feel like the perfect number to slip into on that dream vacation to St. Tropez?

Of course, this dress is also perfect for roaming through the woods with Lauren. We love how she has styled it with a gold drop necklace and gorgeous brown sandals. We asked Lauren what she loves about the dress and she said,

“What makes this dress so unique is that you can wear it multiple ways, with the criss-cross in the back and the tie in the front or the tie in the back...I love the contrasting color choice of the dress as well.”

P.S.: If the backless style isn’t really your thing, you should have  a look at the sweetest off the shoulder dress that we designed. Here’s Lauren in our Nearta Off-Shoulder Dress. Sweet stripes for the win!
